Stainless
Steel Bowls
These bowls are easy to clean
and last longer than plastic or ceramic bowls.
|
|
Collars
Many of these dogs do not come
with collars from the shelter. If they do, they
are worn out or the wrong size. We are always
buying collars for our fosters before they get
adopted out, please help us send them off with
their own collars! |
|
Leashes
As with collars, many of the
shelter dogs do not come with leashes or they
are very worn out. We send them off with a matching
set. |
|
Treats
While in foster care, we try
and train each dog with some basic commands,
such as sit, stay, down, and off. As with any
dog, food is always a good motivator. Any small
treat is helpful for us to continue our work. |
|
Toys
Dogs need enrichment tools and
we have found that toys, especially Kongs, Jumballs
and Nylabones are great for keeping their teeth
in good shape, but also for pure entertainment. |
|
Dog
Food
We feed Diamond Lamb & Rice
here at CMLR to our adult dogs and Puppy formula
to our puppies. It has less filler products than
the typical grocery store food and it has a good
protein balance. |
|
Crates
& Beds
We are always looking for plastic
carrier crates that are airline approved for those
dogs that need to be flown to their forever homes.
Also, we like to crate train the dogs before leaving
and inside crates are the wire crates. Dog begs
or pads are always needed as well. |
|
Grooming
Items
When these dogs are coming out
of the shelters, they are often in dire need of
baths. Old towels, dog shampoo, brushes and combs
are a welcome item that will be put to good use. |
|
Flea
& Tick Preventative
As it is getting to be warmer,
the bugs increase as do the chances of contracting
fleas and ticks! Help us guard our dogs against
these pests. |
|
Heartworm
Meds
Again, it's getting to be warmer
and the mosquitos will be out. Help us prevent
heartworm in our foster dogs. |
|
Misc.
Items
Paper towels are always being
used whether it be for the lake of water at the
water dish or muddy footprints, they are important
at CMLRN! Also, we use Hydrogen Peroxide to clean
up EVERY KIND of mess. From potty accidents (both
kinds) to vomit or even blood, hydrogen peroxide
cleans carpent, tile, and vinyl like no other
commercial cleaner can. |
