About
Us
We
are a small group of people that are passionate about
the Labrador Retriever. We will work tirelessly to
try and make a difference to homeless and forgotten
Labs, one dog at a time.
While we are based in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, we
work with our fellow rescuer friends nation-wide through
the power of the internet, referrals and phone calls.
We will try and place dogs where there are willing
people to home these greatful dogs.
As we are in the immediate process
of our 501(c)(3) filing, we are working basically
off of a shoe string budget, mostly out of personal
bank account costs. The paperwork is due to be finished
near the end of April and then the State of Michigan
will take up to 6 weeks to approve accordingly.
We have been adopting dogs out to persons for real
costs...meaning, costs associated with vetting, altering
and pulling from the shelter. We do not factor in
the cost of dog food, collars and other things that
help ease the dog's transition from either a neglected
home or shelter life. But with everything, we can't
continue to drain our personal bank accounts in this
effort. Our adoption costs
will only be 15% higher than actual costs to include
food, collars, enrichment items and paperwork costs.
Any additional costs such as flying will be up to
the adoptive family.
