This site is dedicated to rehoming homeless Labrador Retrievers. We are also an organization working toward educating the public regarding the Labrador Retriever, as well as proper care for a healthy and happy Lab.

Thank you for taking the time to look at this website. We are a dedicated group of persons who love the Labrador Retriever. We are currently based in Mount Pleasant, Michigan; however, we work interactively with other Michigan rescues, several private rescuers in Michigan and Canada as well as other regional Labrador Rescue organizations and shelters.

We need foster homes!!!

We are at a point in our rescue that we have to severely limit which dog can be rescued and which can not. This is because we don't have enough caring people to help foster dogs before we adopt them out to their new homes. If you have some time, space, and love in your heart to devote to helping a discarded Labdrador Retriever get to it's forever home, please consider being a foster family. CMLRN T-Shirt Fundraiser!

We are in need of some funds to continue our work. We are selling "Invest In Love" T-shirts to help us get our dogs in the program vetted to be ready for their forever homes. We've had some dogs with higher than normal vetting fees so we are getting low on rescue monies. T-shirts are $15 for sizes S-XL and $20 for 2XL and 3XL. This includes shipping to you. We are launching a campaign to hault the selling of puppies and kittens in the Union Shoppe parking lots and all other parking lots in Mt. Pleasant and Isabella County. 2nd Annual CMLRN Rescue Romp

What an amazing day! For those of you that made it, it was so good to see you again! For those of you that missed it, we are sorry that we couldn't enjoy your company this year. To see pictures from this year's romp, go here. Check out last years romp pictures here.

Chance...a very special puppy...UPDATED (4/9/07)

We have had the pleasure of helping Chance, an 8 week old "swimmer" pup get a second shot at a normal life. This is Chance (on the left) with his brother: Chance has Swimmer Puppy Syndrome. It was left untreated for much of his life, he could only scoot on his stomach to get around. Here is a video of him. After a very long journey, Chance has been rehabilitated enough to be adopted by a wonderful and loving forever family in Illinois. Check out the website that his foster mom made for him outlining his journey. Chance is an example of why breeding should not be done by people who just own a dog. Please leave it to the professionals. Have a great life Chance...you deserve it! And thank you to everyone who helped by donating toward his rehab, transports and everything else. Chance is doing well because of caring people like you!
